Bmo Air Miles World Elite Mastercard Review
To be clear, the BMO Air Miles (r) World Elite (r) (Mastercard (r)) (bMO Air Miles (r)) is the best credit card when you want air miles to be earned, and it is also one of the best BMO credit cards. Cardholders with this credit card can earn accelerated 3 miles (12 cents) for spending with participating Air Miles partners and a flat 1 mile (10 cents) for other merchants’ credit card purchases.
When it comes to everyday rewards, BMO Air Miles World Elite is a complement to other air miles credit cards, except for the American Express “Air Miles Platinum Card — which earns you more miles per dollar spent on gas, food and transit. Nevertheless, the world’s elite, like the American Express card, has its fair share of disadvantages, such as a small welcome bonus, fewer travel perks and lower acceptance by certain retailers such as discounters. If you’re looking for a first-class travel award card that does not fall into the Airmiles category, read our reviews of Scotiabank Gold American Express (25,000 bonus points) and Scotiabank Passport and Visa Infinite (30,000 bonus points).
There are three different World Elite Mastercard credit cards that work for you depending on what you need in a reward program, and I’ve listed them all in this category on MoneyMoneys, so it’s really a question of which credit card is the right for your rewards goals. For example, if you regularly shop at Costco and already have an executive membership, paying with the BMO World Elite Card is a good choice.
The card comes with purchase protection, travel insurance and access to the airport lounge. For example, if you spend $20,000 a year on your purchases, including groceries, gas, utilities, television costs, clothing and other planned purchases, you will get $350 back in cash, and you will receive other insurance perks and purchase benefits that bring the value of a credit card over the annual fee. In addition, the World Elite Card includes a welcome offer for travel, health insurance, other benefits, access to airport lounges and discounts on board.
If you book online or call 1-888-247-6543, your Air Miles Card offers 15% off all Air Miles flight deals in North America. It also offers a comprehensive travel insurance package similar to the one received with the BMO World Elite Mastercard.
The card also offers a generous welcome bonus and comprehensive insurance cover for travellers over 65. Admittedly, the bonus and spending limit is not ideal, but as a whole, the World Elite Mastercard is a great value for the annual fee.
The BMO World Elite (TM) Mastercard (r) comes free with a 35,000 point sign-up bonus worth $250, 4 airport lounge passes and comprehensive travel insurance for the first year. The BMO Cashback World Elite Mastercard is the only one of the three cards to offer a welcome bonus, and it’s worth $260 more than the free annual fee of the first year.
In addition to earning air miles for purchases made with the card, cardholders have access to complementary services such as VIP lounge access, onboard offers, travel cover and breakdown assistance.
The usual daily restrictions and conditions of use for Cash Miles apply. The General Terms and Conditions for Air Miles and Award Miles for purchases made for less than a refund (excluding cash advances and cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees and credit/debit adjustments) are subject to the BMO Mastercard Cardholder Agreement and the BMO Mastercard Cardholder Agreement. Use Cash Miles from your Air Miles Cash account to save up to 95 Cash Miles (up to 10%) on your purchases at participating Air Miles partners locations, gift cards and cashback products (except other exceptions applicable to AirMiles.ca Cash), as long as the cash is at least equal in value to the participating award partner.
Existing BMO Air Miles Mastercard customers who cancelled their card during the Offer Period or existing MasterCard customers who transferred products during the Offer Period will not be eligible.
If you open the card before 31 October 2021, you will receive 10% cash back on purchases made within the first three months, and the annual fee will be waived for the first year.
As a collector who regularly redeems miles for air travel, this is good business. In addition, there is a registration bonus of 3,000 miles with a minimum requirement of $3,000 in the first three months, which is enough to redeem a short round-trip flight for two. As for cashback miles, you can redeem up to 95 miles at participating merchants, which is not a bad return at 10%.
Extra miles are an incredible value if you are looking for flights out of your province, as they tend to be more expensive, but if you look at the usual routes like Vancouver to Los Angeles, it will cost you around 2,500 miles, which is a reasonable amount. In addition, there are approximately 2,000 Dream Miles that you can fly depending on the departure point during the season, with one of the most popular routes being from Toronto to Orlando.
On the other hand, if you consider that Air Miles is a secondary loyalty program you earn, you might be better off applying for a credit card that allows you to earn points for your preferred loyalty program. The best way to take advantage of the promotion BMO Air Miles World Elite Mastercard Air Miles is to purchase Air Miles blocks or Mega Miles since you can earn bonus miles through your shared brand credit card purchases. In addition, thanks to free membership of Mastercard Airport Experience, also known as LoungeKey, the card also offers free VIP access and a lounge pass for 2 airports.
The unique advantages of the BMO World Elite credit card series make your BMO Air Miles World Elite Mastercard an ideal card when you travel with points, whether they be Air Miles or any other points program. Credit cards shine for miles and points enthusiasts who use their points to reward travel when it comes to insurance. Eligible insurances such as cancellations, travel interruptions, flight delays, baggage, and personal belongings are points associated with the respective programs associated with the credit card.
